Written by Carl Loughlin and directed by Neil Alderton; Kate Expectations set against the glittering chaos of Aintree’s Grand National.

It’s a tender, outrageous, and heartfelt story about one woman’s day to shine, in sequins, with badger-shaved legs, chasing a rumoured Kate Moss sighting and her son unexpectedly finding a spark of love on the turf.

The film is gearing up to be released at film festivals around the world, and has already received great acclaim from BBC Merseyside’s Leanne Campbell, of whom interviewed writer Carl about the project.
