JBS Playlist Pitch

I’m delighted to share with you my playlist to pitch for SAVIOUR, the new Crime Thriller from Drama Republic for ITV. I understand Natalie Holt is attached as composer, however I would love the opportunity to assist with the score or supply additional music for the series. Below you will find a playlist containing a collection of my work, with a strong focus on tense, dramatic, and underscore pieces.

I want to highlight my use of interesting and often-overlooked instrumentation, such as electric guitar feedback, drum machines, and samples of nature and animals. For example, on ‘Witness To A Murder’, a sample of a tigers’ growl is used in conjunction with glissando strings, a subtle electronic sub kick drum, and a heavily-affected loop of the character breathing, to build tension and suspense. On the track ‘Internal Monologue’, a piece written for a film about a young man's inner turmoil, torn between two opposing aspects: one fighting to keep hope for the future alive, while the other is consumed by sadness and tormented by demons of his past. I use unintelligible whispers panned hard left and hard right to enhance the characters’ two opposing thoughts, almost characterising the sway of his loyalty to his shoulder angel and shoulder demon.

I believe these slightly unconventional techniques would support Natalie’s score and help to create a unique character-driven score that aligns with Peter Moffat, Nisha Parti, and Matthew Patnick’s vision for SAVIOUR.
